The project's activities are following the phases below (Workpackages-WP) :
WP 1: Review and Analysis of Adult Trainers' Attitudes and Practices towards developing their own educational modules and material and using ICT in this process.
The aim of this WP is to :
- examine / review adult trainers attitudes and practices and related policy initiatives regarding the design, implementation and evaluation of their own educational modules and materials and the use of ICT in this process
- provide a qualitative and innovative contribution to this so far scarcely studied domain and foster further research in this direction.
- reveal training needs to set the foundations to safely proceed to the development of the relevant methodologies, educational modules and content as well as the design of training and evaluation activities
It is the first phase of the project with a task to review the existing situation in the involved countries (Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Sweden, Denmark) . The review does not intent to "research" but to provide a general idea on the above matters and a solid background for the development of the actions/products of E-MODE .

WP 2: Elaboration of a pedagogically and technologically integrated set of methodologies for the development and use of educational modules and materials in various training delivery modes
Following the previous WP 1 and -partly- based on its conclusions the Aim of this phase is to equip adult trainers with a complete set of methodological tools that will allow them
a. to develop knowledge and experience in practicing the specificities of adult education
b. to develop sensitivity towards the specificities of the learning environment in which training is provided
c. to develop the skills to use ICT to maximise efficiency, interactivity and adaptability to the uniqueness of each training act.
In this context, the 3 methodologies will combine both pedagogical and technological innovations and they refer to :Development of training modules, development of training material, authoring of e-learning.
up
WP 3: Creation of a virtual learning environment and educational material for the training of adult teachers and trainers
Aim of this WP is to create the appropriate learning content and environment for the pilot training of trainers in educational modules and material design, development and evaluation, with the use of ICT
This environment will comprise:
a. the produced methodologies transformed into user friendly and interactive educational contents
b. a modular training course structure
c. a Course Management System customized to fit the needs of blended learning.
Stages of work development :
a. The elaboration of the modules and the material, at a first level, will be based on WP2 results, a constructive knowledge and experience exchange of the partnership in the design of learning packages the implementation of relative training programs etc taking in parallel into consideration the special characteristics of blended learning but also of the target groups across countries and the results of the WP1.
b. Based on an educational software, the learning platform will be elaborated taking into consideration the objectives and the content of the educational material, the designed modules, the characteristics and needs of the trainees.
up
WP 4: Piloting and Experimentation
Implementing the elaborated methodologies transformed into user friendly content and in different training contexts, we seek to investigate the strong and the week points of the project outcomes and pave the way for the future establishment of integrated training courses of adult trainers in educational material design, developing and evaluation using ICT.
Adult trainers will be trained in:
a. How to plan a module or a course
b. How to prepare educational material based on the principles of open (and distance) learning.
3. How to create multimedia educational material .and how to be able to 'run' a 'blended' course.
This refers to 3 piloting sites in Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey, that will run parallel with common group and project work activities, where the relevant training modules, electronic material and virtual learning environment will be implemented
The team of trainees can be trainers involved in adult education and life long training, trainers of trainers, Staff involved in Educational Planning and production of educational materials, on the job trainers of enterprises.
The selection of the trainees (process and criteria), the time duration, the structure of the pilotings, etc. will be decided among the partners. It will follow the development of the educational package that will be applied and according to the specifications, cultural background and conditions in each country/partner organisation. An evaluation report will reflect the specificities of the pilotings and will lead to possible modifications / adaptions. A Tutor's workshops will be implemented before the pilotings in order to introduce and properly prepare the tutors of the pilotings.

WP 5: Products adaptation and innovation transfer :Fine-tuning and integrating innovation into national adult education systems
This following phase incorporates the results of the 3 pilot applications and it will result to a final holistic proposal regarding innovative training tools, content, methodology and learning environment alternatives for the training of trainers in the field of educational material design, development and evaluation with the use of ICT. Also to realistic guidelines for the project outcomes implementation and integration within the national adult educator's training systems, that can be flexible, viable and long term. In this context prominent importance acquires the results of the Evaluation Report of Piloting (which will be produced within WP 4)
This WP is relied on the successful implementation of the aforementioned Workpackages and should bring them to a fruitful completion. Therefore, stages of development will be:
a. Validation of educational material by a wide range of target groups
b. Finalisation of educational material
c. Elaboration of a guide in order to provide specific proposals for the integration and implementation of the innovation into the national adult training systems of all partners countries, according to their special characteristics
up
WP 6: Quality management and Evaluation
This phase refers to QM and Evaluation Processes that will take place since the beginning of the project.
up
WP 7: Project Management and Coordination
The necessary Coordination and Management procedures will run through the whole project, in order to establish a fully operational and effective project management system that balances project scope, the resources, the schedule, the needs and expectations of all stakeholders.
up
WP 8: Dissemination of Activities and Outcomes
The Aim is to inform and raise the awareness both of short term and long term target groups on the project's various activities and products. Specific objectives are:
a.to actively promote a targeted, systematic and far-sighted dissemination of the project and its results by a wide range of the parties that are directly and indirectly involved in adult education at local, national and European level and contribute to their effective networking.
b.Create sustainable links between the project's results (educational content, tools and methodologies) and the adult trainers' training programs of European Countries. Disseminaton is a shared responsibility which falls to all the project partners and runs in parallel with the project development.
up
WP 9: Exploitation and Impact analysis of results
Apart from the dissemination activities -and in parallel- exploitation activities aim:
- To meet the needs of the wide range of target groups this project addresses and thus incorporate project results into training systems and practices of the partner countries and beyond.
- to foster multiplication of training programs of training providers and enterprises on the domains covered by the project (educational modules and material creation using ICT innovations) either as a whole or as a specific aspect of the it
- to open the political and social dialogue towards a modernisation of the national and European trainers training systems
- to assess and analyse the produced impact
It is an important phase, since the ultimate target is to intervene both at a broader level (affecting national training systems and relevant) and also in an individual level (by directly offering support to adult education trainers)
